With special training funding, members of our LCHD team had the opportunity to attend the 2025 National Preparedness Summit, held in San Antonio this past week. The summit was hosted by our membership organization National Association of County and City Health Officials. Training sessions included Environmental Response in Disasters, Water System Safety, Physical and Mental Health Awareness, Overcoming the Trama from Emergency Events, Logistical Handling of Resources, and Public Health Law, just to name a few. We were thrilled to be able to participate, and enjoyed seeing the beautiful city of San Antonio.
